A rak I sent out to one of my blogging sisters.... Surprise!! Hope you like it!
A RAK I received from Risa (Life's Simple Pleasures) Thanks so much!!

My sister called me last night & asked if I could make her 4 tags to go on Easter Baskets that she made for her neighbors grand daughters, so this is what I did...I used the SU retired set called Spring Gifts, whisper white & Regal rose CS, used my nesties & cuttlebug, added a flower & bling. Hope she likes it, she is coming this morning to pick it up. They look big, but are actually
2 3/4 x 3 1/4.

My First Tutorial!! My take on those little Easter boxes...

Cut 2 pieces 8" x 2 1/2" Score at
1/2" & 2" on both ends, then 1/2 inch on bottom. Cut 2 pieces 5" x 4", score at 1 1/2"

Cut small 1/2" squares off at the bottom, see where I have X's. Then fold & do a angle cut on the 2 inner folds.

After folding on all score lines, this is what it should look like. Punch circle or oval on the middle part to make handle. Then use a corner round punch for the ends at top.

This is what it should look like once you put it all together.
Hope this makes sense???
This is my first tutorial. I am still learning.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

My take on those little boxes...

I don't have the XL Sizzix die to make those pretty boxes I have been seeing, so I decided to use the tutorial for the drink box holder, I scaled the measurements WAY DOWN, and after some trial & error, this is what I came up with.

I have this one in my hand, so that you can get a better idea of the size of the little box. The two sides stick out by 1 1'2" instead of 3" like the drink box. And the handle part is 3" tall only. It would be better with the oval punch for handle, like Teri (Big Ideas from a Little Girl) uses on hers, but guess what?? I DON'T have one!!!
Well now to use good cardstock, and mass produce these to give some friends for Easter filled with goodies.

RAKS & a VERY tiny version of the drink box holder

I have been seeing these cute little Easter boxes. Like the one that Teri (Big Ideas from a Little Girl) gave to me. (see below) It is made using the large box die, but I don't have that, so I used the tutorial for the drink box holder, and scaled it WAY DOWN. And this is what I came up with. So now to decorate & get the measurements together so that I can share with everyone.

A beautiful "file" drawer, filled with candy from Jodie (Hawaiian Angels) Thanks so much.

This is another RAK that I got from Arlene, (Precious Angels Creations). So sweet! My first Sarah Kay stamp.

And this cute Hello Kitty RAK is from my freind Linda that I met through Teri's classes & blog land.

And this wonderful Easter box & goodies is from the Teri, the Little girl with a very BIG heart!!
See the box she made with the box die cut, that is what I tried to make as seen as above.
Thank you all for these WONDERFUL RAKS. I LOVE them all, and appreciate & treasure your freindships.

More cards....

Don't have much time to blog this weekend, but I did want to post these 2 cards I made last weekend. I used Nancy Kubo digi image for the cute coconut, and made a Thinking of You card for a family member in Texas.

I have been seeing these layouts using the top note die from Stampin Up. Got this cute little stamp from Jen at Little C's.
Tried the copics to color it in.....still trying to get the hang of coloring with it.
Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks to all you local girls who came buy this morning to buy some SU, and other craft stuff from my sisters ENTIRE stash! Yep, she gave up selling SU & crafting!!! She said she'll have me make her things when she needs it.

Candy Jar?

I love to drink the sugar free drink mixes, kind of like Crystal light, but the WalMart brand. And I throw these containers out all the time. But the other night I took a good look at it & said "hey I can do something with this" So into my craft room I went! I covered it with printed paper that my sister had given me, then ran the purple paper with the Top Note die (SU) through the cuttlebug, then used Nancy Kubo's digi image. Added a few flowers with a bling & there I have it a RAK for someone!!! Filled it with Dove chocolates.....

Trying to re-organize craft room...but......

I went to the new Target, and got a couple of things to help re-organize my craft supplies, etc.... well after a couple of hours I still have things on the floor deciding where to put them!!! So I took a break & decided to make a few cards instead....hahaha I made this Patriotic Hello Kitty one, I got this cute die from my neighbor & friend Joy (A Place to be Me). So cute yeah?!
I came across more of the Nancy Kubo digi's, so I decided to make a Father's Day card for my Brother, put a googly eye on the Honu.

Front of the BD card I made, used the Prima flower that I got from Summer @ "Roses on Paper" a local on-line store. Check her site out, she has lot's of cute stuff & very reasonable.
Here is the inside of the card.

Well back to trying to clean up the rest of my craft room, I told my daughter & husband, if I mention craft shopping to "shoot me" !! HAHAHAHAHA Never realized the stuff I had until I decided to re-organize/clean it out.

More Tildas....

Thanks to my sweet friend Teri (Big Ideas from a Little Girl), I was able to get lots more stamped images of Tildas. I made these cards using more scraps, got to use them up. I have way too much scraps! I colored in images with SU water color pencils & blender pen. Added Dew drops that I got from Jen at 'Little C's', flowers on the second card are from 'Roses On Paper'. Check out these on line stores, great deals. I added some SU dazzling diamonds on her crown. Used my cuttle bug & nesties to make scallop circles.

Crimped envelope & a card

I made this card with a retired stamp set from SU, it is called Canine Capers. Colored with SU water color pencils & blender pen. Dew drops on flowers I got at Little C's.
Yes, my one & only Magonolia stamp! I love them so much, my friend Teri (Big Ideas from a Little Girl) let me make images of all the Magnolia Tildas she has. So now I can color & create with different images. I just fell in love with Tildas.....so funny, my Mom's name is Matilda, and everyone calls her Tilda for short!!
I followed the tutorial that Dawn has on her blog (Dawns Stamping Thoughts) to make this crimped envelope, it is very simple. I used my SU watercolor pencils & blender pen to color image. I still have to decide if I'll make a card for the inside, or put a gift card in it.
Well off to color in more Tildas...thanks Teri.
